Merri-Lee Marvil is the mother of Dylan Marvil in The Clique series. She also has two other daughters, Ryan and Jamie. Merri-Lee is the host of her own morning talk show, The Daily Grind, and her annual Merri-Lee Marvil's New Year's Yves Party. She is portrayed by Lisa Masters in the movie.

History[]

Merri-Lee lives with her three daughters in a white A-frame style mansion in Westchester, and commutes to work in New York City. She got her start in television by announcing winning lottery numbers on the six o'clock news.

In Charmed and Dangerous, she mentions divorcing an unidentified husband after he "couldn't cope with a wife that People magazine named the thirty-sixth most beautiful woman in Hollywood". She never mentions him after that, and Dylan rarely mentions him.

In The Pretty Committee Strikes Back, OCD and Briarwood have a field trip to go to Lake Placid. Merri-Lee decides to come on the field trip as a chaperone, and also to get footage of "mother-daughter bonding" for her latest episode of TDG. Instead, she spends the trip having an affair with Dylan's geography teacher, Mr. Myner.

In A Tale of Two Pretties, she forces her daughters to star in a family reality TV show called "Marvilous Marvils". She does not seem to display any empathy when it turns out that the show is heavily scripted and purposefully portrays Dylan in a bad light.

Personality[]

Merri-Lee is polished, materialistic, outgoing, and loves gossip. She cares deeply about appearances and seems to value social status and fabulousness above all else. She occasionally shames Dylan for her body type and pressures her to lose weight.

Appearance[]

Merri-Lee has burgundy/red curls, emerald green eyes, and pale skin. She wears diamond stud earrings and employs a personal stylist named Yasmine, as well as a hair and makeup team to help her stay TV-ready at all times. Before her career as a talk show host, Merri-Lee had $275,000 worth of plastic surgery done and worked with a speech therapist on the advice of Effie James.
